Yoga Pose Video Tutorial for Crane Pose
Bakasana
Crane Pose is an arm balance that yoga instructors often use to introduce students to the arm balancing group of postures—though it’s anything but easy! In fact, for yoga students with longer arms, Crane Pose may be more difficult than some of the other arm-balancing poses. Before executing this yoga posture, make sure that your muscles are warm, especially those in your shoulders, back, hips, abdomen and arms. A few rounds of Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) can do the trick for that.
In this wonderful version of Bakasana, YogaUOnline’s Kate Heffernan provides an entry-level way to shift into this fun and playful yoga pose. It’s a great way to teach Crane Pose to your yoga students, or to learn how to find your balancing point if you are new to this asana. Practice along with Kate in this online yoga video tutorial.
