Free Download! Keys to Deepening your Yoga Practice

TEACHER ED

How often should you practice yoga – 3 times a week, 5 times a week, or every day?

According to renowned yoga teacher Judith Hanson Lasater, the answer is simple: Only practice yoga on the days you want to feel good.

In this free download, Judith describes how to craft a home practice that can adapt to support your needs as they change with age, life circumstance, and experience.

Day to day, Judith explains, your physical, mental, and emotional state can alter your motivation to practice.

“The most important thing in practice is consistency, and then the monkey mind will take care of itself. You cannot fight the monkey mind because the monkey always wins.”

Judith goes on to outline what the Yoga Sutras say about obstacles to the state of yoga and offers solutions to overcome them cultivating a home practice.

A consistent home practice has numerous benefits, Judith says. Among others, she notes, her home practice has been a direct pipeline that flows into her relationships with others and her teaching.

“It’s my experience that when you teach from what you’ve experienced and what you embody, there’s a level of integrity in your words that changes people’s lives.”

Yoga is not meant to be a challenge. It’s meant to support you in your daily life and in your interactions with others in the world. This is just one of the many benefits of deepening your home practice, Judith explains.

The practice of yoga is fundamentally an act of kindness toward oneself. This idea is often forgotten, but not by Judith, whose approach is warm, non-judgmental and responsive to individual differences and needs.
